In his role as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Roger will visited Tamil Nadu, India – the country’s hardest hit state – to mark the two-year anniversary of the Indian Ocean tsunami on Friday.

“It’s amazing to see how young people are using the rebuilding process as an opportunity to improve their lives and strengthen their community,” said Federer. “The way these children are bouncing back from even the toughest tragedy is a testament to their resiliency.”

New Chief Justice Of India

President APJ Abdul Kalam has approved the appointment of Justice KG Balakrishnan of the Supreme Court as the next Chief Justice of India.K.G. Balakrishnan (62) , the senior most judge of the supreme court is mad e the 37 th Cheif Justice of india . This happens once a cheif justice retires and i always find the cheif justice of india having the most easy job, if any politian or a big shot is found guilty and sentenced to jail and the same case is come to him, he have to say that the witnesses are not enough to prove the person is guilty and have to free that person from all charges. This is been happening for long and changes in the laws can only make this situation better.
But the brighter part here is Mr. K.G.Balakrishnan is the first Chief justice of india belonging to the Scheduled Caste . There were times when SC people were not allowed to come to city and to the temple . Even now i find SC people not equally treated with others caste people , not allowed to sit and have food with other people in the same table .
I think India is now slowing cutting across the many barriers between the people ;

Google Notebook

This might be pointless for some of you, but others may find it highly useful.It is like book marking, you add the interesting contents you come across in a URL , It can includes both notes and images .
Once you have installed Google Notebook from “http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/index.html” , you will see a space in tha bottom right corner of your FireFox that says “Open Notebook” . Open it, and you ‘ll see a little box with a list of your “notes”(Initially blank) . Now, say you come accross something interesting (Text and Image) . You select the whole thing and right click. In the context menu there will be an item called “note this in the (Google Notebook).Click it.The selection gets added in the notebook and you will get an indicator in the little box that lists out the first few words of what you noted , along with the URL.
